Additional Parts Needed

After removing the distributor, you will have a hole in the head where it mounted. Left open , oil will leak out of the motor (circled in green in the picture below). Sealing this hole is no easy task without the correct parts.

The part you will need comes from the 2002 Mazda 626 KLG4, It is called the Camshaft Angle Sensor an can be purchased separately online.  It also used on the Miata and various other vehicles.
