Introducing an easy option for upgrading the stock ignition system. The HEI module is widely used as a igniter replacement & upgrade for the KL V6 Engines. It Is common for the OEM igniter inside the distributor to fail randomly without prior symptoms, leaving the vehicle stranded. This GM HEI module upgrade was discovered as a viable option for reliability and cost. The GM HEI is relatively inexpressive and can be replaced fairly easily, making keeping spares on hand a practical investment for peace of mind.

Option:

• OEM Coil – The harness is made to be used with the coil inside the distributor. You will only need a HEI module to install the harness.
• With External Coil – The harness is made to be used with an external coil. You will need a HEI module and an External coil to install the harness.

Required:

• You will only need a GM 4 Pin HEI Module Part#D1906.  It is recommended to get a quality brand like ACDelco/Delphi.
• If you choose with external coil, you will also need an external coil of your choice. Most commonly used is the MSD Power tower Post and Wire:  Part# MSD 84039
