    Information about Files

    In 2024 we redesigned our rear cross member from a tubular design to a flat steel design that can be CNC Cut. This design offers weight savings, it is much easier to install and allows the user to use shims to space the cross member precisely to allow clearance of the down pipe.  This design is so much easier we decided to offer the files for personal DIY use. 

    With these files you can fabricate your own rear cross member using local or online services by utilizing the files to CNC cut the materials. This design allows the user to utilize the lower mount feature at any time and its included in the download.  Build and attach the lower mount now or later on.

    What’s required to Fabricate this cross member using these files

    • You will need access to a machine capable of reading DXF CAD File, such as waterjet, plasma table or fiber laser.
    • You will need a welder capable of welding the material thickness that you choose.
    • Materials documented in the materials list.

    Fitment

    • This cross member will fit the 2nd Generation Mazda Mx6, 626 and Ford Probe Models with the V6 Engine and Manual Transmission. It has not been tested on other models but is very likely to fit.

    Information about Files

    In 2022 I began designing a structure that could hold a LCD screen in the position of the stock gauge cluster of an Mx6. The purpose of holding the screen in this position was to utilize a computer/device to display Tuner Studio gauges onto the Dash, eliminating the stock analog gauges. Doing so allows an unlimited amount of gauge and design possibilities as well as having the ability for onboard tuning that’s fully integrated to the car independently of: for example a laptop or tablet.

    I spent several years and revisions developing this LCD Dash display to look like it could have been factory along with it being feature rich. This R&D process cost thousands and hundreds of hours.

    You can now build it yourself with easy documentation and ready to print files.

    You will be receiving in the package a ZIP file download that includes the following:

    • .STEP & .F3D Files for Fusion 360 ( or other program) with All possible configurations of this cluster with design structure of items as individual components that can be freely edited and changed to fit your needs such as difference screen types, indicators, whatever you can imagine.
    • PDF files of Materials Needed, How to Print, how to assemble, wiring guidance pictorial based diagrams and general guidance for a Raspberry PI interface.
    • DXF file of Screen Protector
    • 3MF Print Files of all components plus optional files to be printed.

    • To Print the dash display you will need: 

    A 3D printer capable of printing up to 15.50” x 6” (393mm x 153mm).

    A 3D printer capable of printing in materials such as ABS,ABS-GF,ASA or PETG

    • Experience with 12 volt electrical
