Start by fully compressing the King6fab adjustable timing belt tensioner to its lowest level, this is done by loosening the jam nut and turning the bolt to its lowest point. From here you can mount the tensioner on the engine.

Its best to tighten the belt to a point that the crank shaft can be rotated without the belt slipping on the cams. Rotate the engine a few times, now check the deflection on the belt, on average, 3/8″ of the piston of the adjustable timing belt tensioner will be visible.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3443″ alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3348″][vc_column_text]If you choose to put the timing belt covers back on your engine, its recommended to make cut aways so that the timing belt tensioner can be adjusted and inspected at regular service intervals.
