If your at idle, it can and often does stall the engine. The counter this, giving throttle input when you select burn prevents the stall. Some people will select burn when decelerating ( if driving) this will also prevent the stall. While its a small annoyance, it is in an annoyance and doesn’t exactly represent ” the best “.

With MS3 systems, this hiccup is eliminated. You can burn settings at any time without stalling the engine.

Knock Sensing

The Ms3Pro Evo+ Offers dual knock sensing and process to take auto action when a knock is sensed just like the OEM ECM to protect the engine. My previous engine was a stock KLDE and had a detonation on cylinder 2 due to a Nissan injector not flow matched closely enough to the other injectors. It was about 20% less then all other injectors. When I started advancing my timing in boost and running moderate fuel tuning, it was only a matter of time before it detonated on the piston blowing up the ring land.

Sequential injection and ignition

I’m not sure about using sequential ignition just yet, that will require coil on plug making checking the rear plugs requiring the intake to be removed or at the very least smart coils with lead wires, but this will get expensive.
I’m also not sure about using full sequential injection because it requires cam sensor. I don’t really want a distributor base back on my engine so unless I can design a compact cam sensor in the OEM position I will stick to semi sequential injection.

Speed Sensors
The MS3Pro Evo+ allows you to use speed sensors for speed display and traction control.

I currently use a GPS for speed display and it works but has some annoyances.
1. Its battery powered with a charging cord. I do not drive my Mx6 often and I use a battery kill switch. So the GPS has to be manually turned on and off each time I use the car to prevent draining the battery. If its been months since I last used it ( winter storage), the GPS battery is usually dead.
2.The GPS takes up to 5min to get a fix and start displaying speed.
3. When not moving, sometimes the GPS shows 1mph.
4. The Odometer doesn’t always read correctly.

Using the factory speed sensor increases the accuracy and makes everything more practical and convenient.

Alternator control
The MS3Pro Evo+ has alternator control for advance alternators and can control “dumb” alternators like on the mx6 that only require 2 wires. The alternator can be disabled during starting the engine to reduce rotational resistance allowing motor to crank faster. Then enabled when the engine is running.

A/C control
This unit allows more advanced A/C and fan control. My MSPNP2 is the first version and it required opening it up to turn a potentiometer to tune for the A/C idle up. Not convenient.

More Sensors
This unit allows you to add any generic sensor.
